Royal Austria O&EG Set of Five Vintage Floral Teacups and Saucers Set<br>Crisp white porcelain adorned with pink flowers and greenery, scalloped and embossed edges<br>Delicate gilt stripe down each teacup handle. Only one handle shows a tiny bit of wear.<br>Teacups 3 5/8" wide x 2 1/4" tall x 4 1/2" across including handle<br>Each cup holds 6 fluid ounces<br>Saucers 5 3/4" wide<br>This hallmark was used by Oscar and Edgar Gutherz of Altrolau, Bohemia {now Stara Role, Czech Republic} from 1899 to 1918. These teacups and saucers are at least 103 years old {possibly 122 years old} and are in pristine, like new condition!<br>*History: Oscar Gutherz began a porcelain decorating business is Altrolau in 1884 with financial backing from the American importer Lazarus Straus & Sons. They expanded into porcelain production. in 1899, Oscar's brother Edgar Gutherz, bought out Marx and joined Oscar in the business, which became known as Oscar & Edgar Gutherz Royal Austria Factory.
