NO RESERVE<br>VINTAGE<br>YIXING<br>CHINESE CLAY TEAPOT<br>WITH TINY LETTER CALLIGRAPHY<br>MARKED ON COVER AND BASE<br>I SHIP WORLDWIDE<br>INCLUDING CHINA - JAPAN - SOUTH KOREA AND RUSSIA<br>Offered in this sale is a vintage Chinese Yixing clay teapot that I believe dates to the 20th century. It is marked on the underside of the base which you can see illustrated in the 2nd image. It is also marked on the inside surface of the cover. It measures roughly 3 5/8" tall and is 4 5/8" across from the handle to the spout. It has a bluish grey almost teal glaze. It is decorated on both sides with twelve vertical lines of incised calligraphy and is also incised with calligraphy on the cover. I know very little at all about these Asian clay teapots. I am assuming this is Chinese, however, it could also be Japanese. I am sure it will be instantly recognized by anyone who reads the language. The condition is excellent. There are no chips, cracks, flakes, hairlines or restoration.<br>Please be sure to enlarge and zoom each image for a close up view of the detail of the decoration and condition.
